Website Help

Here you will find helpful answers to common questions about using our web site.  If you do not find an answer to your question, please contact us.

What is Online Account Access?
Online Account Access provides approved Arch Chemicals customers the ability to manage their customer accounts online in a secure and private environment.  Approved customers can create new product orders, find and/or change existing orders, track their orders, view their account summary and account balance details, and find invoices.  Our goal is to enable customers to serve themselves whenever and wherever they choose.

How do I become approved for Online Account Access?
On this Arch Chemicals web site Online Account Access is reserved for current customers only.  To use this service you must be a registered site visitor and have requested online account access from the additional services section found at the bottom of the my preferences page.  Requests for Online Account Access require additional approvals by a customer service representative.  Once completed you will be notified by e-mail of the status of your request.

How do I sign into the web site if I’ve forgotten my password?
Go to the forgot your password page and enter your e-mail address.  You will be prompted to answer the challenge question you selected during web site registration.  You must correctly answer the question to verify your identity.  You will then be prompted to create a new password.  Once you create and submit your new password you will be allowed to continue into the web site as a logged in visitor.

How can I view other Arch Chemical web sites as a registered visitor?
Some Arch web sites have additional registration requirements for viewing unique site content.  If you wish to extend your registration to another Arch web site, go to the registration page on that site, fill in any additional requested information, and click the ppdate registration button.  This will allow you to update your registration preferences and gain registered visitor rights for the specific Arch site you wish to visit.

Why do I get a message saying cookies must be enabled to view the web site?
If you see this message then cookies are turned off in your browser and some web site functionality may be lost.  To accept cookies, go to the help menu in your browser for instructions on how to change your browser’s cookies setting.  We use cookies to personalize your web site experience based on your registration preferences.  Please see our privacy policy for more information about our use of cookies.

How do I use search to find what I’m looking for on your web sites?
Site search gives you the option to find information across a single Arch web site or across all Arch web sites.  To use this feature:

  • Enter a keyword or phrase into the search box
  • Select the region of the world you want to search, if applicable
  • Select a search across all Arch sites or a specific Arch web site and click the search button

Search results will display with a link, which you must click to view that specific search result.  If you need to refine your search then try different keywords, more general keywords, and make sure that all words in the search box are correctly spelled.

Where can I find Material Safety Data Sheets?
You can find them using our material data safety sheet feature.

Are there minimum browser requirements to use your web site?
We support Internet Explorer 6.0 and above and Mozilla Firefox 2.0 and above.  You may utilize our website using other browsers but we cannot guarantee that all funtionality will work with un-supported browsers.

What is a PDF and why do I need special software to view it?
PDF is a file format used on web sites to present large amounts of content without having to navigate through multiple web site pages.  Viewing a PDF file requires Adobe Reader.  If you don't have this plug-in you can download it for free from Adobe's web site.  Once you have downloaded the Adobe Reader it will start automatically whenever you want to view a PDF file.

I want to talk to a live person.  Where do I find a phone number?
You can find this information in our customer support section or on our contact us page, which can be accessed from every page of our web sites.
